Instant Pot Turkey Broth

Turn leftover turkey bones into a rich,  savory broth with the Instant Pot. This easy homemade turkey broth is  perfect for soups, gravies, stuffing, and more.

INGREDIENTS

Onion | Carrot  Celery Stalks | Thyme Garlic Cloves | Chicken Salt | Black Pepper Bay Leaf | Parsley Roasted Turkey Carcass

Break the roasted turkey carcass into pieces that fit your cooking vessel. Add roasting pan drippings, vegetables, herbs, seasonings, and enough water to fully cover everything without exceeding the Instant Pot's maximum fill line.

DIRECTIONS

Cook the stock using your preferred method. Pressure cook in the Instant Pot for 90 minutes with the valve sealed, or simmer on the stovetop for 3–4 hours or in a slow cooker or roaster for 6–8 hours.

When cooking is complete, let the Instant Pot naturally release pressure before opening, or remove the lid from other cooking methods. Allow the broth to cool for at least an hour before handling and straining.

Strain the broth through a fine mesh strainer, pressing the solids to extract every drop. Strain again through cheesecloth or a coffee filter, then refrigerate or freeze.
