INGREDIENTS

Dried Great Northern Beans Onion Garlic Pepper Salt Bay Leaf Chicken Broth Or Water

Add rinsed, drained beans to a 6 or 8-quart pressure cooker with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, bay leaf, seasoning packet (if using), and chicken broth or water. Stir everything together until well combined.

1

Secure the pressure cooker lid and set the valve to Sealing. Select the Manual or Bean setting and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.

2

Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release for about 20 minutes. Carefully remove the lid and check the beans for tenderness before serving.

3

If any beans are still firm, reseal the lid and cook for 15 more minutes, then quick release the pressure. Serve the tender beans warm over cooked white rice.
