Turning Leaf Wine Review Giveaway

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Turning Leaf Wines.

I’ve only been learning about wines for the past few years. So when the chance comes around to review a wine I have never sampled before I jump on it. What I have learned so far is that my favorite type of wine is a good Moscato wine. And by good I don’t mean expensive. By good I mean a moscato wine that tastes good to me.

I received a bottle of the Turning Leaf Refresh Crisp White Moscato Wine and a bottle of Turning Leaf Refresh Red Moscato Wine to sample.

As mentioned above I will also be hosting a giveaway of a Turning Leaf prize pack valued approximately $50 that will include some wine goodies and a gift card. You will be able to enter in the Rafflecopter widget below. This giveaway is open to residents of the 50 United States (except UT). You must be 21 to enter and winners will be asked to sign an affidavit of age verification and publicity release.

I also get to play it forward to one of my favorite bloggers.  Mallery from the Horrible Housewife   loves to do video reviews of  wine so Mallery will also get to review the Turning Leaf wines.

The Turning Leaf wines are a little different then most wines in that they are a fizzy wine and they are meant to be poured and served over ice. Which is perfect for me because I normally enjoy a glass of wine over ice. They are perfect for enjoying in the heat of the summer but are also a great beer substitution for tailgating and game day celebrations.

As I mentioned earlier I love Moscato wine and I couldn’t wait to try out a fizzy moscato wine.

So I expected to enjoy the Turning Leaf Refresh Crisp White Moscato Wine. I wasn’t disappointed. It is a light and refreshing fruity wine with a hint of citrus undertones. It has a very nice fizz when you pour it.

To make it a little festive and add a little Fall flavor to it I served each glass with a few apple slices, a pear wedge and a cinnamon stick.

What I did not expect was that I literally fell in love with the Turning Leaf Refresh Red Moscato.

I am not a fan of red wines. I find them too acidic and bitter for my taste buds.

When I was shooting the pictures for this post I didn’t pour the Red Moscato to take any photos because I honestly I didn’t expect to like it.

Boy was I surprised when I finally had a chance to taste the Refresh Red Moscato wine!

I have continued to taste red wines in hope that I would find one that I could enjoy drinking. Up until now there hasn’t been a red wine that I could drink more than a half of glass of and although I could drink it I did not enjoy it the way I enjoyed the Turning Leaf Refresh Red Moscato wine.

The Turning Leaf Red Moscato is light and refreshing. There is no bitter or acidic flavor that I have found in other red wines. It is smooth and fruity.

I can’t wait to try the other Turning Leaf Refresh Moscato wines that are available. And I will definitely be buying another bottle of the Red Moscato. I am looking forward to making a Red wine Sangria with the Turning Leaf Red Moscato.

I haven’t tried it, but I would love to. I’m glad to hear the red moscato is more refreshing than heavy, I’m usually not a fan of reds.
