This Green Tea & Honey Sparkling Sangria Mocktail recipe is perfect for the entire family.
Even though the cool weather has made an appearance here in S.W.FL we are still sipping away at iced drinks.
Actually the weather stays pretty nice most of the year so we drink iced drinks all year long.
Most of the family enjoys flavored teas and I make them all the time.
Over the summer I made my first batch of Fruity Sangria for a summer party. The kids loved the look of the citrus fruits and berries floating around in the pitcher but of course they couldn't drink any of it because it was made with wine.
So I decided to make a mocktail using the Lipton Tea and Honey pitcher packets so the kids could also enjoy a glass.
Lipton happens to be the tea of choice in our family. We use the tea bags all the time. Matter of fact I have three boxes of Lipton tea bags in my pantry right now. Orange Pekoe, Black and Green Tea are our three favorites.
I headed out to Walmart to buy the ingredients I would need. In case you are wondering the Lipton Tea & Honey Pitcher Packets are located on the tea and coffee aisle at Walmart.
The Lipton Tea & Honey packets make throwing this mocktail together a breeze. If you'd like you can prepare the tea and citrus slices ahead of time and chill overnight in the refrigerator the way you do with a traditional Sangria. This extra chilling time allows the citrus flavors to infuse with the tea for a stronger citrus flavor.
Or you can mix it up right before you are ready to serve it to your family and friends.
Either way it is delicious.
Slice the citrus and mix the Lipton Tea and Honey pitcher packet with the quart of water. Allow the tea to sit for a few minutes. Occasionally shake it up so all the tea granules dissolve.
Add the citrus slices to the pitcher.
Pour the Lipton Tea & Honey Blackberry Pomegranate Green Tea into the pitcher.
Add the ice and the frozen blackberries to the pitcher.
Pour in the Sparkling grape just and stir.
Add more ice to a glass if you prefer and pour some of the Lipton Tea & Honey Sparkling Sangria Mocktail in. Take a big sip and sigh a big ahhhh because it is so good.
